Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in electronics procurement, supply chain engineering, or manufacturing sourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, EMS/CM operations, and global electronics supply chains.
  • Proven experience managing complex sourcing and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities for electronic components such as ICs, passives, PCBs, connectors, and EMS/CM services.
  • Provide technical insights to inform sourcing decisions, supplier selection, and component qualification.
  • Manage RFQs, cost breakdowns, and technical-commercial evaluations.
  • Drive cost modeling and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Act as the technical procurement liaison with component manufacturers, distributors, and EMS/CM partners.
  • Negotiate supplier terms regarding pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, capacity commitments, and technical constraints.
  • Support supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address technical, quality, or supply chain issues.
  • Support NPI sourcing from concept to production, including BOM cost roll-ups and sourcing readiness.
  • Work with design engineering to influence component selection based on availability, lifecycle, and risk factors.
  • Manage PCNs, EOL strategies, and last-time-buy strategies in coordination with engineering and operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with single-source components, long lead times, and supply constraints.
  • Develop strategies for alternate and dual sourcing.
  • Support supply continuity planning and buffer strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, and program management.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on costs, supplier performance, supply risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor junior procurement or supply chain engineers as necessary.

We are currently looking for a Product & Yield Engineer with a focus on data to join our team in London. This senior role will be pivotal in leading sourcing and supplier engagement for electronic components, ensuring that our procurement strategies are optimized for cost, quality, availability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
