CVector's North Star is to create and maintain a reliable energy system. To achieve that, we need to make our energy systems run near autonomously and become aware of their rapidly changing conditions, from local weather to power pricing. CVector aims to put a brain and a nervous system into every energy generating, storing, and consuming asset in the world. CVector is a remote-first company, with customers across the United States.

Role Overview

As a Product UI/UX Designer, you will play a central role in shaping how users experience CVector's platform—from power plant operators navigating complex controls to energy analysts monitoring critical data in real time. You will be responsible for translating deep customer insights into elegant, intuitive, and high-impact designs. This role goes beyond interface work: you'll participate in customer discovery, define product requirements, and work directly with founders and engineers to bring ideas to life. You should be comfortable operating across the full design lifecycle and energized by the opportunity to influence product direction and company strategy.

Requirements

As a Product UI/UX Designer, you will drive CVector's design and product development forward by fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for our web-based SaaS platform, from discovery and wireframes to prototypes and visual design
  • Partner with founders and engineers to define product features, scope tradeoffs, and ship experiences that matter
  • Conduct user research and customer interviews to identify pain points and translate insights into actionable solutions
  • Design systems and libraries that ensure consistency, usability, and scalability across the product
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, product, and customer teams to maintain design excellence from concept through launch
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites to understand real-world use cases and validate product direction

New graduates may need to relocate to Providence or the New York City area.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, user-centered design for complex digital products

  • Fluency in design systems, responsive design, and cross-platform usability principles
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and balancing product vision with technical feasibility
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Excellent communication skills and a bias toward action
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
