Qualifications

Job Description:

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Shift Manager, this role is responsible for the effective transfer of product from production (process) to packing. This includes capturing waste during transfer, ensuring QCP equipment operates correctly, and proper screens are in place. The role also involves assisting with raw material transfers and providing cover for waste management. Additional support to factory areas may be required.

Key deliverables include:

  • Leaving work in the same condition as arrived.
  • Ensuring the best quality product reaches the packing hall.
  • Reducing waste through proper capture and management.
  • Collaborating with peers and following the Shift Manager's instructions to perform duties.

Main Duties:

  • Traceability of product, including quantities within the WIP bin installation.
  • Purging product to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Fitting correct size mesh screens to Mogensen sieves based on production matrices.
  • Setting up Tomra optical sorters according to product specifications.
  • At the end of each production run, collecting all regrind bins, collating into coded totes, printing tickets, and removing them for mill use.
  • Assisting with raw material transfers as an FLT driver.
  • Providing waste management cover when needed.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

  • Self-motivated with ownership of their area.
  • Helpful and supportive team player.
  • FLT License (or willing to train).
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in food, pet food, or FMCG sectors.
  • Food Safety Level 2 certification.
  • Awareness of BRC standards.
  • Honest, empathetic, with good perspective.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Open to change and eager to learn.
