Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Product Functional Test Mechanical Technician in Huddersfield to join our on-site engineering team.

The role focuses on assembling, testing, and evaluating Cummins Component products using standard electrical and mechanical test tools, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. You will document results in CCIMS, collaborate with Global teams, and support continuous improvement of testing processes while ensuring instrument setup and test validity aligns with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent in a STEM-related field.
• Some work experience with mechanical and electronic testing.
• Ability to interpret test data and maintain records.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and dismantle test articles per engineering standards.
• Analyze AIS warranty returns and screen components for failure modes.
• Use test tools and equipment to evaluate components and record results.
• Document results in CCIMS and collaborate with Global teams.
• Set up and maintain test stands and ensure test readiness.
• Support testing per procedures and ensure test validity.
