Eurofins|BLC is a small but growing business specialising in testing and consulting within the Eurofins Softlines and Leather division. Established for over 100 years, we specialise in leather, consumer, and chemicals, providing targeted testing and consulting solutions along the supply chain.

The Role:

To ensure compliance across our client’s product ranges, including softlines, hardlines, and toys. To liaise with suppliers on product approvals and maintain critical path deadlines.

Main Duties:

Product approval

  • Take ownership of relevant responsibilities to meet business needs and be fully committed to these.
  • Escalate process failures to your line manager.
  • Maintain Critical Path deadlines through supplier monitoring.
  • Update the Product Lifecycle Management system (PLM) with all relevant information for accurate reporting.
  • Approve documents such as Risk Assessments, Artwork, Test Plans, Test Reports, CR & Packaging Data, Declarations of Compliance, and Declarations of Conformity.
  • Approve production samples.

Documentation and Technical Files

  • Maintain technical files, product information files, and regulatory reports.
  • Track and manage compliance documentation across SKUs and regions.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Product Development teams to incorporate compliance early in the product lifecycle.
  • Work with stakeholders on product claims, advertising standards, and legal labelling, ensuring they are evidence-based.
  • Coordinate with clients' Quality Assurance teams to resolve compliance issues or product recalls.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 3 years of successful experience in a similar role within a Quality or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of critical path management.
  • Knowledge of product sealing procedures and product fit for use.
  • Experience working with retailers, brands, sourcing offices, vendors, suppliers, and factories.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple product categories simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce quality work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to commute to Coventry once a month for retailer meetings.
  • Responsible, punctual, flexible, with a strong work ethic.
  • A proactive problem solver who recognizes the need for improvement.
  • Supportive of an honest and open working environment, adaptable to change.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful.

We currently have 2 positions. Please note that for the Hardlines role, electrical product knowledge is required.

This role is office-based, 37.5 hours per week. Core hours are 8:45 am to 5:00 pm. The company offers a flexitime system, allowing variation of start and finish times by 30 minutes, provided contractual hours are met daily.
