Job summary

HUBER+SUHNER Polatis seeks a Product Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Product Engineering team, ensuring clear technical ownership of products from concept through production and lifecycle support in line with the Huber+Suhner Product Evolution Process.

You will establish technical ownership, integrate optical, electronic, software and manufacturing requirements, and lead reviews across requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, qualification and

Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject.
7+ years’ experience as a product or systems engineer.
3+ years in a technical leadership role.
Experience with all aspects of the product development lifecycle.
Experience in Agile and Lean methods.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Product and Systems Engineering function to support the OCS product roadmap.
Establish clear technical ownership for every product from concept through lifecycle.
Ensure integrated design across optical, electronic, software, FPGA/DSP and manufacturing.
Define and resource verification, validation and release-readiness reviews.
Partner with Process Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to transfer to manufacture.
Own engineering response to significant product failures with root-cause analysis.
Use data to identify risks and inform future roadmap decisions.
Maintain product documentation and lessons learned throughout the lifecycle.
