Product Support Specialist - Manual & Robotic
North East Scotland, Aberdeen (12 month fixed term contract - MAT Leave cover)
Position Summary:
To grow Stryker's Joint Replacement business by promoting Hip and Knee products to Orthopaedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service, growing existing accounts through technical expertise.
The Product Support Specialist – Manual & Robotic provides clinical product support to end users along with guidance and assistance during Mako surgical procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Ethics: Demonstrates outstanding ethics, treats customers and employees with respect, and represents the company positively.
- Knowledge & Communication: Communicates benefits of products and their clinical applications effectively.
- Customer Support & Business Planning: Acts with integrity, delivers commitments timely, and constructs basic business plans with mentor/manager input.
- Sales & Relationship Building: Develops rapport, understands customer needs, and uses troubleshooting to grow and protect the business.
- Market & Customer Analysis: Understands stakeholder decision processes, conducts market observations, and addresses challenges with solutions.
- Team & Administrative Collaboration: Participates in meetings, maintains customer database/CRM.
Clinical/Technical Expertise:
- Provides front-line clinical and technical support before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Trains and guides surgeons and staff on the use of Stryker’s Mako robot, including setup, intraoperative activities, and software use.
- Assists with pre-operative planning using proprietary software, troubleshooting, and partnering with Field Service.
- Builds knowledge of implants, instrumentation, and robot applications to become a trusted resource.
- Completes necessary training and certification for robotic-assisted and manual procedures.

Qualifications/Experience:
- 0-1 years sales experience with a related diploma; higher education advantageous.
- Market knowledge and medical background preferred.
- Experience in sales of capital goods or consumables, or extensive clinic/OR experience.
