Job description

Department/Sector – Product Support Executive

Job Location – London

Salary – £28k – £31k

Our client is recruiting a Product Support Executive who will assist the Product Manager in researching, costing and writing up material for the website that is not featured in the core brochures.

This material will take the form of travel ideas, including itineraries, and also destination information regarding subjects such as history, culture, cuisine, climate and festivals.

Your aim is to create greater depth of content on the website, particularly the ‘tailor-made’ section, which in turn will make it more fulfilling for the holiday maker.

Another part of the role is to research projects as instructed by the Product Manager for new products.

This may involve competitor, market and price analysis, sourcing potential suppliers, and health and safety analysis.

You must have experience of planning and costing tours.

In the role you will assist the Product Manager during the brochure production process. For example, writing copy for hotel portfolio pages and loading rates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the PM in writing and updating of ‘How to Book Notes’ for the Sales/Ops teams.
  • Assist the PM in producing the Master Itineraries.
  • Assist in any operational matters arising from the day-to-day activities of all Products, for example responding to hotel changes, airport closures, schedule changes, etc.
  • Assist the PM with competitor analysis.
  • Ensure the PM has up-to-date copies of competitor brochures and ensure they are stored in an orderly manner.

Key Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Experience in planning and costing itineraries
  • A good knowledge of Europe and/or Middle East an advantage
  • Good copy writing skills
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Proactive and good use of initiative
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a team an advantage
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of CRS and Galileo an advantage
