Role Overview:

Are you passionate about engineering and innovation? We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to join our team in Runnings Road. In this role, you will manage and support engineering activities related to the design and lifecycle management of mechanical and electronic products within our UK Supply portfolio. You'll play a key part in ensuring our products meet compliance standards and deliver exceptional performance.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...
  • Independently managing electronic/metering projects using established processes.
  • Creating and overseeing project plans and cross-functional teams.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Leading design engineering tasks such as CAD design, calculations, and analysis.
  • Reviewing and guiding the work of colleagues to maintain high standards.
  • Supporting compliance activities (e.g., CRN, ASME, UL, PED).
  • Managing PLM activities including engineering changes, samples, and concessions.
  • Contributing to the development of departmental skills and knowledge.
Your previous experience is likely to include....
  • Experience working in or leading teams and managing stakeholders.
  • A background in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in designing and implementing test strategies.
  • A track record of presenting deliverables to senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic circuit board design, manufacturing, and obsolescence management.
  • Experience with CREO Modelling, JD Edwards E1 ERP, and Autodesk Fusion PLM.

  • Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times
  • Possess a relevant Mechanical or Electronic Engineering qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Possess strong understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
  • Show familiarity with CRN, ASME, and PED standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of flow meters, controls, instrumentation, and steam systems.
  • Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Be able to apply engineering calculations accurately (ASME, BS, ISO).
