Job description

MPI is looking for a Permanent Product Specialist, for our client based in Milton Keynes.

Home-based, with travel to Milton Keynes, national field-based role.

The Company:

Provides automation and fluid control solutions for factory and laboratory applications. Target sectors are automotive, food, beverage & packaging, and the life science sectors.

The client is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the corporation in Japan. The UK operation is located at a substantial 14-acre site in Milton Keynes, which houses our UK offices, design, factory, and warehousing. The client is the UK and global market leader in its field.

The role:

This is an interesting, varied, and challenging customer-facing role that is designed to support increased market share. Working closely with the field sales team you will provide application, product knowledge and sale support during customer visits. The range of product focus includes chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, and process gas controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate records of activities using our CRM system.
  2. Grow sales of the product range through supporting the salesforce and their customers.
  3. Understand and have the ability to use the value proposition of the product range responsible for and business value to grow sales.
  4. Identifying, researching, and gaining application knowledge for new opportunities for the product range.
  5. Promote the product range responsible for by creating marketing material, training material, and identifying trade shows where the range will achieve exposure.
  6. Develop strong working relationships with our internal and external customers consulting with them to solve problems from a technical perspective.
  7. Meet and exceed targets.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Desirable: A degree within a Science or Engineering discipline.
  2. Required: HND or equivalent or relevant experience.
  3. Proven track record of selling, specifying, or developing the product range of chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, and process gas controls.
  4. Experience, skills and knowledge of the types of applications found in the non-invasive life science / medical / electronics industry, as these are the types of market areas you will be working in.
  5. Demonstrate an ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the business.
  6. Highly driven and passionate about making a difference within the industry.
  7. Proven track record of using value propositions to ensure customer satisfaction, increasing retention and customer loyalty to a brand.
  8. Full UK Driving Licence.
  9. Current passport as European travel may be required.

The Selection Process:

Upon successful application, candidates will be asked to undertake an online interview, online testing, and a second interview face-to-face, onsite at Milton Keynes Office.
