Role Purpose:

Working as part of the Capital Dynamics Product Development team, the Product Specialist will support the Clean Energy business in the development and marketing of CD’s fund and product offering.

Product Specialists will use their experience and talent across a range of activities including:

  • Product Development: Project manage the development and launch of all Clean Energy investment offerings, including flagship funds, tailored investment solutions, and separately managed accounts.
  • Fundraising and Business Development: Support the fundraising efforts across Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy funds by maintaining strong investor relationships, preparing high-quality client-facing materials, providing clear, informed responses to investor inquiries, and participating in client meetings when required.

The individual will gain immediate exposure to the global Capital Dynamics team, enabling them to build their professional network and interact with colleagues across divisions and regions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, launch, and ongoing management of all Clean Energy investment offerings and related product programs.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy strategies to respond effectively to investor and prospect inquiries.
  • Create and maintain high-quality marketing and investor materials in line with the firm’s brand and disclosure standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing fundraising efforts for active funds, including the preparation of fund updates and product collateral.
  • Drive continued product innovation, have a deep understanding of the market, and help set key terms and understand the competitive landscape for Clean Energy investment products.
  • Manage the products data room and coordinate access for existing clients and prospective clients.
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and that marketing materials are fully compliant.
  • Assist in the production of monthly product memorandums and related investor communications with input from key stakeholders.

Skills and attributes:

  • 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience in product development / Investor relations, / Consulting role at a private equity, asset manager, investment bank, or consultancy.
  • Knowledge of or keen interest in clean energy / renewable energy and private assets, or willingness to learn more about these sectors.
  • Understanding of core private equity and infrastructure terminology (IRR, NAV. MOIC, Yield).
  • Proven experience in producing and developing professional client presentations and/or reports.
  • Exceptional time and project management skills, with the ability to meet and take ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Strong financial and technical writing skills.
  • Understanding the needs of institutional investors is desirable.
  • The ability to thrive in an environment where constructive critique is the norm.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, Renewable Energy, or related subject
  • Exceptional proficiency MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel.
  • Strong marketing / writing skills and attention to detail.

Language Skills:

  • Must be fluent in English and display superior English writing skills (essential requirement).
  • Additional language skills, preferably Italian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese or Korean are highly desirable, though not essential.
