Product Security Software Engineer - Greenfield Project, London

Join a dynamic team focused on enhancing, building, and delivering innovative technology products.

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity Technology Controls Organization, you will be a key contributor. Your responsibilities include delivering software solutions that prevent misuse and malicious behavior, implementing critical technology solutions across various business functions with tamper-proof, audit-defensible methods. This role offers a chance to contribute to the firm's objectives and grow professionally in a diverse environment.

Initially, successful candidates will be seconded to a FinTech software partner, gaining firsthand fintech experience while supported by JPMC. After the secondment, you will return to JPMC to develop services supporting GBP’s cloud journey.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and troubleshoot security solutions to meet client requirements.
2. Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms aligned with systems.
3. Use specialized tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners) to analyze incident data, identify threats, and assess vulnerabilities.
4. Lead security awareness, training, and educational activities.
5. Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Formal training or certification in software engineering with practical experience.
2. Experience developing security engineering solutions.
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Go, Python, or Java.
4. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
5. Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Knowledge of banking or finance sectors.
2. Experience with any cloud provider.
3. Experience with client/server software architectures, networking, or microservices.
4. Experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Mesos.
