A leading company in the defense sector is seeking a Product Safety Engineer to ensure the safety of radar systems on the Typhoon platform. Salary: £47,683 dependent on skills and experience

The Radar Safety Team is part of the broader EDR (Engineering Development & Radar) team, comprising 3 to 5 engineers. The team ensures that radar products are safe to operate on the Typhoon platform—both at initial delivery and throughout the product’s in-service lifecycle. As a team member, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals who will support your transition into the role.
You’ll have access to company product safety training and opportunities to deepen your knowledge of the Typhoon platform and its radar systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure integration and alignment across departments, with all stakeholders understanding the radar’s functionality. The team maintains strong connections within the wider business and interacts regularly with external suppliers and partners.
