Job summary

World Fuel Services Corporation seeks a highly analytical and commercially minded Lead, Product Risk & Control to strengthen the control framework for our physical and financial energy trading activities in London. You will lead daily P&L validation, exposure reporting, pricing governance, and valuation controls, partnering with Trading, Finance, Risk, and Operations to drive risk-aware decision making.

The role spans risk oversight, month-end support, and process improvement efforts, including

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Control, Market Risk, Trading Risk, or Commodities Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with ETRM platforms and market data processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own daily P&L production, validation, and analysis for trading activities.
• Provide independent review of P&L attribution and valuation drivers.
• Investigate unexplained P&L with robust analysis and controls.
• Partner with Front Office to understand strategies, positions, and exposures.
• Validate exposure reporting and ensure accurate risk/financial reporting.
• Identify control weaknesses and drive sustainable improvements.
• Support month-end valuation and reconciliations with accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency via automation and controls.
