Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of end-to-end satellite communication systems. This role covers product assurance across design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and launch phases, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Based in London with a very attractive hybrid working arrangement, this will be a 6-month contract (extension likely). The rate is negotiable dependant on experience (inside IR35).

What you’ll do
  • Lead programme-level product assurance activities across hardware, software, and systems.
  • Develop and implement assurance plans in line with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and partners to ensure compliance and delivery.
  • Oversee supplier quality, materials, processes, inspections, and audits.
  • Drive risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electronics, aerospace, mechanical/materials, or similar).
  • 5+ years’ experience in product assurance on space projects (ESA, UKSA or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards.
  • Experience working with and managing suppliers and vendors.
  • UK or EU (27) Citizenship required.
