The Role and responsibilities

We're looking for someone to join us as a Product Quality & Performance Technologist within our dynamic Product team. Supporting our Product Technologists, this is a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills and broaden your knowledge of product quality, development and compliance to improve & develop new and existing products. Alongside this, the role will require successfully completing an apprenticeship programme involving various training, coaching and individual projects to enhance the key knowledge, skills and behaviours to be successful. You will be based at our headquarters in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. This person will

  • Support on project work that drives the product strategy to constantly improve the product performance; quality, fit and value of our products.( The item and its packaging)
  • Maintain project plans and critical paths for key developments projects from concept to delivery
  • Build project briefs and alongside our nominated providers verify artworks and specifications for sign off.
  • Support product development & sealing requirements by documenting actions, completing production and quality forms in collaboration with the Product Technologists.
  • Review and test in operation product by examining instructions, handling & performance requirements
  • Resolve quality & development problems by suggesting solutions to meet specifications.
  • Analyse returns and review data to support quality and development improvements
  • Co-ordinate product review & benchmarking sessions to gain feedback and results to improve quality, finish, construction & fit of product
  • Looks for the new innovations in product/ packaging and how we can implement through our operations.
  • Attend webinars with various partners to gain insight into future projects.
  • Attend warehouse and QC visits to work alongside our QC team and suppliers
  • Work closely with 3rd party providers to develop and improve product
  • Constantly review and improve quality standards in line with customer expectation, competitors and internal quality guidelines.
  • gain an understanding for key testing and compliance requirements. Work with 3rd party and internal specialists.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain reporting, bibles and manuals to be relevant to company and government requirements.
  • With the support of your manager, dedicate the 6 hours off the job training to complete the relevant apprenticeship activities.

  • Be prepared to study towards your apprenticeship

Ways of Working

  • We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you're in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we're perfectly located, plus we're surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
  • Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don't have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
