Job summary

Objectway is seeking a Product Owner in the UK (London or Birmingham) to lead requirement capture, backlog management, and collaboration across implementation consultants, engineering, and QA.

You will translate client business needs into detailed product specifications, oversee regulatory considerations, and drive delivery of high-quality software within budget and timelines. Strong English communication and fintech domain experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in (Business) Economics or IT, or equivalent through experience.
• Strong ability to abstract and translate business requirements into IT.
• At least 5 years' experience within the wealth/asset management sector with at least one of the following: creation of functional analyses based upon a high-level scope definition; application(s) with a 3-tier development structure.
• Experience in managing projects focused on digital solutions, processes and/or digital products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with implementation consultants to document, deploy and configure the solution for green field implementations or upgrades.
• Serve as product consultant/SME to support customer implementations and internal engineering team.
• Translate customer business requirements into product specifications for enhancements.
• Gather requirements for new product features to extend the core product.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting the product and customers.
• Manage the backlog and define user stories.
• Participate in full development lifecycle from requirements to testing and documentation.
• Engage in pre-sales activities including RFIs, demos and presentations.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
• Represent the company as key contact with customers and organise status meetings.
• Handle customer calls and incidents with involved parties and report on adoption/satisfaction.
