Your future plans
We are supporting our Risk business with all reporting requirements they have. To ensure proper reporting we are using the Microstrategy BI Suite as well as making use of Power BI for our Credit Risk reporting. Besides the risk reporting focus we also develop our own applications to support special requirements like PnL or Counterparty risk calculations, using a wide range of interesting technologies, like .Net core, Snowflake, AWS Cloud services, Python and more.

Your responsibilities

  1. You are responsible for the Squad’s product (systems and services).
  2. You will manage the product backlog and decide the priority of backlog items in a manner transparent to all stakeholders.
  3. You can formulate acceptance criteria together with stakeholders and act as acceptance instance, whenever required.
  4. Serve as first point of contact for stakeholders.
  5. Present and convey User Stories in Scrum rituals, most notably Sprint planning, backlog refinement and Sprint review.
  6. You clarify requirements with Stakeholders and Squad members and can provide consultancy during the backlog item implementation.
  7. Provide consultancy with respect to Squad sizing, recruiting, as well as current and future skill needs of the Squad.
  8. Responsible for effective communication in case of problems and ensure intermediate updates are being shared as well until problem is resolved.

Your powerful skills
  1. Agile methodologies: You are an expert understanding of the Product Owner role and its interaction with Squad-internal and -external stakeholders.
  2. Prioritization and decision making: You have the ability to determine priority of tasks, taking business value, time criticality, risk reduction, new opportunities, cost and other relevant factors into account.
  3. Ability and readiness to decide under uncertainty; Ability to down-prioritize or reject requests that do not serve the product and defending these decisions in front of stakeholders.
  4. You have knowledge and practical experience with systematic methods of transparent prioritization, such as WSJF.
  5. Foster Innovation: Knowledge and experience of techniques used to generate new ideas, create a working environment which promotes innovation and be able to reference from personal experience behaviours and environmental factors which hinder/support innovation.
  6. Ensure that as part of the end-to-end responsibility of the team operational aspects in alignment with the organizational operative processes (e.g. ITIL) are appropriately prioritized to meet robustness, resilience and performance targets.

Advantageous, but not a must
  1. Problem Solving / Decision Making: Be able to explain, and demonstrate experience of applying various problem solving and decision making techniques.
  2. High resilience and frustration tolerance.
  3. The ability to challenge team and stakeholders.
