Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE:

This role is an integral part of the Research and Development team, responsible for delivering the core gas boiler platform for the UK and wider European markets. The role will focus on improving the current successful Greenstar 4000 and specifying the Next Generation of product for the UK and European market.

This role will support the Product Owner, working closely with a team of engineers and product managers from multiple markets to deliver the exceptional, feature-rich and cost-effective solution expected of the lead product for Worcester Bosch.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • To work in close cooperation with the Product Owner for the C4000 series of internationally sold gas boilers
  • Collaborate effectively with national and international colleagues, stakeholders, and the Project Steering Committee
  • Utilise Agile techniques to ensure transparency, create higher customer satisfaction, and increase project control
  • Support the management and maintenance of the product series for both legacy and future products
  • Support strategic planning for future product ranges including zero carbon technologies
  • Drive forward ratio and quality improvements for the product series
  • Run and facilitate meetings and workshops
  • Support the Director of Engineering on department tasks if needed

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting strategic planning for future product ranges
  2. Supporting the management of the product series
  3. Supporting the Product Owner and wider team in driving forward ratio and quality improvements for the product series
  4. Setting up and assisting with moderation of workshops and meetings if needed
  5. Supporting day-to-day activities of the product series

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills
  • Ability to prepare detailed and clear presentations
  • Self-organised, approachable person who can lead and motivate others
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Team player with leadership capabilities
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum techniques
  • Engineering education or experience
  • Ability to converse technically

Contract Duration: 23 months

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunch break.
