Job summary

System C is the UK's leading health and social care software and services company. We are seeking a Product Owner to join our collaborative, fast-moving team and translate customer challenges into valuable product outcomes.

You will own the product backlog, work with engineering and product teams, and help shape releases to improve health and social care outcomes. You will collaborate across management, engineering, UI/UX and customers to deliver real-world solutions, develop domain expertise,

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse requirements, identify risks and make informed decisions.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods including Scrum.
  • Experience prioritising and managing product backlogs.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Aha! or similar product management platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively within changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • A collaborative approach combined with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for your product area.
  • Translate business and customer requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritise work to maximise customer and commercial value.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams through sprint planning, refinement and delivery activities.
  • Help define release scope and contribute to release planning.
  • Monitor progress against delivery plans and communicate risks and dependencies.
  • Facilitate customer engagement activities, including demonstrations, feedback sessions and focus groups.
  • Support go-to-market activities and product launches.
  • Develop deep domain expertise and confidently demonstrate product capabilities to stakeholders.
  • Represent Product Management in day-to-day delivery decisions.

We are looking for a Product Owner who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and enjoys turning customer challenges into valuable product outcomes.

This role is an opportunity to work at the heart of product development, partnering with Product Management, Engineering, UI/UX teams and customers to shape solutions that solve real-world problems.
