Construction Link (C-Link) is a fast-growing SaaS business in the ConstructionTech space, revolutionising construction procurement. We automate workflows and transform how subcontractors win work. C-Link comprises two brands:

  • C-Link (www.c-link.com) - procurement software for main contractors and developers
  • Prosper (www.weallprosper.co.uk) - a lead generation marketplace for subcontractors

The Opportunity:

We're growing our product team and looking for a dedicated and driven Product Owner to help us shape the next evolution of our platform. You'll work closely with the Product Manager, development team, and key stakeholders to ensure our product strategy is translated into effective and timely delivery.

You'll drive feature development within the team, making trade-offs, setting priorities, and refining the product backlog to deliver maximum value.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in defining and delivering features that impact thousands of users across the construction industry.

We're a remote-first team who catch up at regular company meet-ups so we're looking for someone based in London.

What You'll Do:

  • Own & Prioritise the Product Backlog:
    • Maintain a well-groomed and prioritised product backlog that reflects both user needs and business objectives
  • Gather & Analyse Requirements:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, leveraging market research and customer feedback to inform decisions
  • Define User Stories:
    • Translate features into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity and alignment across the team
  • Maintain a Clear Product Vision:
    • Communicate a compelling product vision that aligns the development team and stakeholders around shared goals
  • Participate in Development Planning:
    • Work closely with developers to plan development content, provide story clarifications, and ensure readiness for delivery
  • Validate Deliverables:
    • Review completed features against acceptance criteria and approve or reject work during Development l reviews
  • Continuously Provide Feedback:
    • Offer ongoing feedback to the development team, adapting priorities as needed in response to stakeholder input and market shifts
  • Act as the Team's Go-To Contact:
    • Be available to resolve questions and remove blockers, ensuring smooth development progress
  • Engage Stakeholders:
    • Keep internal and external stakeholders informed on progress, managing expectations and roadmap changes proactively
  • Make Trade-off Decisions:
    • Weigh priorities and scope changes based on business value, balancing long-term vision with short-term needs
  • Contribute to Release Planning:
    • Collaborate on defining release scope and timing, aligning with the overall product strategy
  • Define & Track KPIs:
    • Establish and monitor key metrics to evaluate feature success and inform future roadmap decisions.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar in a complex SaaS business with multiple user groups
  • You have experience in a start up or scale up environments
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining product backlogs
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate complex needs into actionable plans
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Skilled at balancing competing priorities and making data-informed trade-offs
  • Effective communicator, facilitator, and problem solver
