Harcourt Matthews in the UK is seeking a Product Owner to join the Professional Services Group in Birmingham or Leeds on a hybrid basis. You will drive adoption of legal technology, shape roadmaps and ensure technology delivers measurable value for internal teams and clients.

You will work with legal tech specialists and senior stakeholders, manage platform projects, and translate complex concepts for diverse audiences while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

£45,000 - £55,000 + bonus + benefits depending on location and experience |

This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Owner to join a global professional services environment and play a key role in shaping and embedding technology solutions across the organisation. Working within an established Technology Products team, the role will focus on driving adoption of legal technology, improving how platforms are used and ensuring technology delivers measurable value for both internal teams and clients. With a strong focus on digital transformation and emerging technology, the position offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence how technology supports future service delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Product Owner

• Drive technology adoption: Lead and support the adoption of key technology solutions, embedding platforms into day-to-day practice and helping teams understand how they can improve efficiency and client service.
• Shape product roadmaps: Work closely with legal technology specialists and senior stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify new opportunities and contribute to product roadmaps and future developments.
• Lead platform projects: Manage and support projects involving new solutions, upgrades, integrations and configurations, applying agile project management and technology best practice to deliver effective outcomes.
• Manage key relationships: Build credible relationships with legal teams, senior stakeholders, suppliers and technology colleagues, translating technical concepts clearly and ensuring solutions meet business and client needs.
• Improve governance and performance: Analyse technology usage and adoption, identify barriers and opportunities for improvement, and help develop effective processes, governance and best practice across the technology portfolio.

Skills & Attributes of the Product Owner

• Legal technology experience: Experience working with legal technology solutions, with exposure to platforms such as HighQ and/or Contract Express highly desirable.
• Strong technical capability: A strong technical understanding with the ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear, practical information for a variety of audiences.
• Stakeholder management skills: Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior business leaders, technical teams, suppliers and clients, with the credibility to influence and build effective relationships.
• Analytical and commercial mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear management information, identify opportunities and focus technology investment on delivering business and client value.
• Adaptable and solution-focused: Pragmatic, resilient and innovative, with strong self-management skills and the ability to manage a complex workload while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
