Role Description:

As a Product Manager for Business Partner (B2B) Connectivity you will own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, risk posture, and stakeholder outcomes for the enterprise network product that enables secure connectivity with external business partners, financial market participants, financial exchanges, vendors, and other third-party ecosystems. The role requires a rare blend of product leadership, deep network architecture credibility, financial-services domain awareness, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, regulated, high-availability connectivity outcomes.

  • Business Partner Connectivity is a service-based external networks product that sits at the intersection of lines of business, network architecture and engineering, operations, governance, security, and service delivery.
  • This role leads the Product Cabinet for B2B Connectivity and partners closely with Product Architecture, Product Owners, Software Development and Automation, Network Delivery and Execution, PMO, Network Operations, Service Assurance, Governance, Service Engagement, and regional service delivery teams.
  • The successful candidate must be able to earn credibility with sophisticated business and technology stakeholders by understanding the end-to-end connectivity patterns, architectural trade-offs, operational controls, risk obligations, and delivery realities that underpin business partner connectivity in a large financial institution.
Responsibilities:
  • Define the vision, multi-year strategy and quarterly roadmap for Business Partner Connectivity, balancing business and financial market demand, regulatory obligations, modernisation, resilience, risk and operational health.
  • Act as the accountable business and technical authority for B2B Connectivity, partnering with Markets and other business areas requiring secure, reliable external connectivity.
  • Lead the B2B Product Cabinet and operating model, ensuring effective governance, clear accountability and timely decisions across architecture, product, engineering, operations and regional teams.
  • Translate business demand into prioritised roadmaps, epics, architectural decisions, delivery commitments, operational requirements and measures of value.
  • Align end-to-end connectivity architecture and oversee delivery for trading, exchanges, market data, clearing, settlement, vendors and other mission-critical partner services.
  • Prioritise resilience, growth, lifecycle, vulnerabilities, production health and modernisation, providing clear trade-off recommendations and business impact assessments.
  • Manage product lifecycle, controls and health, including performance, capacity, vulnerabilities, audit readiness, entitlements and compliance, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Influence across a global matrix and collaborate with Security, Risk, Finance, Audit, Data Governance and Compliance to achieve controlled business outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels through executive updates, decision papers, roadmaps, scorecards and technical summaries.
  • Drive continuous improvement in automation, observability, inventory accuracy, onboarding, reliability and product transparency.
What we are looking for:
  • Substantial experience in enterprise network architecture, engineering, product management or technology leadership within a large, regulated organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise connectivity, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, network security, DNS/DDI, certificates, monitoring and secure external connectivity patterns.
  • Demonstrable experience of B2B, partner, third-party, extranet, DMZ or market connectivity services within a large enterprise.
  • Strong credibility with architecture and engineering teams, with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and articulate decisions in business terms.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional, matrixed teams through complex delivery, risk, lifecycle or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong product management and programme execution capability, including roadmaps, prioritisation, governance, dependencies, risks and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent executive communication and relationship-management skills across business, technology, risk and control functions.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
