Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations – Perform and review reconciliations between Bank systems and CCPs. Investigate position, cash and trade discrepancies. Maintain a strong focus on operational risk management and control effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management – Partner effectively with Front Office, Middle Office, Technology, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams. Engage with exchanges, CCPs and vendors where required. Communicate clearly and professionally when managing operational issues and escalations.
  • Change & Continuous Improvement – Participate in technology deployments, testing activities and business change initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and increase automation.
  • Support the implementation of new regulatory, industry and exchange requirements.

Role Description

Bank of America's EMEA Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Operations team supports the clearing, deliveries, reconciliation, regulatory reporting and control environment for Futures, Options and Cleared OTC products across a global exchange network. Operating from Chester, London, Chicago and Singapore, the team supports trading activity across more than 40 global exchanges and central counterparties (CCPs), working closely with Front Office, Risk, Technology, Finance, Compliance and external market infrastructure providers. Our objective is to provide a resilient, controlled and scalable operating model whilst delivering excellent service to clients and stakeholders. We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented associate to join our Reconciliations team in Chester, UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop a career within Global Markets Operations and gain exposure to a broad range of post‑trade activities supporting listed derivatives and cleared OTC products. The role provides exposure to the full trade lifecycle and offers significant opportunities to develop operational, regulatory and market infrastructure knowledge within a dynamic global environment.
