Join us as a Product Manager (Supply Chain & Fulfilment) and be a key part of this mission.

Role Purpose

As Product Manager in Supply Chain and Fulfilment, you will create and own a prioritized backlog with input from stakeholders across B&Q to support strategic priorities and maximize ROI on technology investments. You will identify opportunities to improve our proposition and operational effectiveness within supply chain, warehouse, and fulfilment operations. You will also secure funding through governance forums and work with stakeholders, PMO, and delivery teams to unlock value and ensure project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a prioritized backlog for technology development, aligning with B&Q’s strategic goals, including enhancing eCommerce, simplifying operations, and building a world-class fulfilment proposition.
• Support early design work with the Architecture Team to estimate effort and costs, and identify appropriate delivery routes for new requirements.
• Use data and research to identify and quantify opportunities, including spending time in retail and logistics networks to understand operations.
• Collaborate with Group Technology teams to support planning and prioritization.
• Influence the roadmap for major Group technology and digital projects, shaping scope and priorities.
• Prepare initiatives for funding, optimizing returns on technology investments within budget constraints.
• Identify innovative technologies and collaborate on adoption opportunities.
• Support the selection of technology providers as needed.
• Help foster an agile, product-led culture within B&Q, demonstrating how technology delivers value iteratively.
• Identify improvements in ways of working within B&Q and the broader Kingfisher Group.
• This role primarily focuses on delivering value through vendors and group-managed technology teams, not direct management of development squads.

Key Business Relationships

• Work within the Supply Chain and Fulfilment Technology Team, building relationships with stakeholders across supply chain, logistics, digital, and technology partners.
• Develop understanding of business processes and supporting technology to identify enablers for better ways of working.
• Collaborate with Group Technology teams on planning, design, and prioritization, participating in governance forums.
• Maintain awareness of broader retail technology trends and innovations to inform strategic decisions.
• Build relationships with technology vendors and partners.
• Contribute to the B&Q Product & Technology team, supporting the technology roadmap for future growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in digital product management, governance, and delivering tech initiatives.
• Preferred experience with logistics technologies such as warehouse management, carrier management, and order management.
• Experience managing backlogs and prioritization frameworks.
• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Business case development and budget management skills.
• Structured problem-solving skills with strategic vision.
• Thought leadership in product management and fostering a product-led culture.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and identifying technological opportunities aligned with business strategy.
