About the role

We are seeking an experienced SaaS Payroll Product Manager (or similar industry) to support the development and management of our payroll software product. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payroll processes, experience with SaaS product management, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of payroll professionals and organisations.

What you'll do

  • Product Analysis: Analyse existing payroll products to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure they meet customer needs
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements, ensuring they align with the overall product strategy
  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain the payroll product roadmap, prioritising improvements and updates based on customer needs and the overall product strategy
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful development and launch of product updates
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, ensuring they are used effectively to meet the needs of the product
  • Launch Planning: Plan and execute the launch of payroll product updates, working with marketing and sales teams to ensure a successful launch
  • Post-Launch Review: Conduct post-launch review to evaluate the success of product updates and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure the product continues to meet customer needs
  • Product Marketing: Support payroll product marketing efforts by providing input on messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to drive product adoption and revenue growth
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Stay current on payroll industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our product remains competitive and compliant with industry standards

Skills and experience valued in the role

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a similar position
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • A deep understanding of product development and market trends, specifically within payroll
