Position Overview

Product designers and engineers face various challenges bringing their ideas to life. As an Autodesk Product Manager, reporting to the Director of Product Management on our Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions team, you will work on Fusion 360 to identify the impact of those challenges to help guide a product team in developing innovative customer solutions.

You will promote solution strategy and direction, bridging technical and business worlds, and introduce novel approaches to generating manufacturing options and insights. We value candidates who focus on delivering customer-centric outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the entire product/solution experience.
• Explain market problems and solution goals to guide design and engineering teams.
• Bring creative solutions to traditional problems.
• Partner with extended product management teams for coordinated solution outcomes.
• Identify and describe target customers, users, and purchase influencers.
• Establish subject matter expertise on assigned projects/solution areas.
• Create solution examples and workflow vignettes.
• Represent solutions at industry events and to internal/external audiences at all levels (sales, development, end users, executives, media, analysts).
• Review product deliverables to ensure completeness and proper documentation.
• Track and analyze the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
• Conduct market research and sizing to identify opportunities.
• Perform primary research to understand customer problems and insights (interviews, virtual or in person).
• Create proposals prioritizing customer problems and illustrating how investments will improve satisfaction and value.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in product positioning, target customer identification, user personas, and value propositions.
• Mechanical design, CAD, modeling, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fluent in processes and ecosystems.
• History of SaaS product management experience.
• Project management, planning, research, and synthesis skills.
• Knowledge of Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor.

Salary transparency

Starting base salary for U.S roles is between $134,000 and $216,700, based on experience and location. Compensation includes bonuses, commissions, stock grants, and benefits.
