With a community of over 1,300 team members worldwide, we embrace diversity and inclusion, and champion growth and development. Our success is built on teamwork, courage, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Mission for this role

Our Mainline Product function plays a crucial role in building consumer‑led, commercially strong seasonal ranges that form the backbone of our brand offering. As the Product Manager – Mainline, you will lead the strategic planning, development, and delivery of the core product assortment across multiple seasons. You will work cross‑functionally to ensure products meet consumer needs, reflect brand identity, hit commercial targets, and land on time through a seamless seasonal process.

Responsibilities
Range Strategy & Seasonal Planning
  • Defining and executing the mainline product strategy in line with brand direction, consumer insights, and commercial objectives.
  • Building seasonal range architecture, identifying growth drivers, assortment gaps, and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Managing and maintaining clear product lifecycles.
Cross‑Functional Product Ownership
  • Leading cross‑functional teams—including Design, Development, Marketing Merchandising, Sourcing, and Marketing—through the full seasonal product creation lifecycle.
  • Ensuring clear alignment on briefs, product direction, timelines, costs, and GTM requirements.
Briefing & Product Development
  • Creating detailed product briefs that balance consumer insight, trend direction, design intent, performance needs, commercial constraints and channel requirements for both mainline and SMU.
  • Overseeing sample rounds, prototype reviews, and product refinements to ensure products meet quality, fit, cost, and sustainability requirements.
Seasonal Project Management
  • Owning the seasonal critical path, ensuring key milestones are met and operational challenges are resolved quickly.
  • Managing risk logs, dependencies, cost reviews, and margin targets throughout development.
Commercial & Range Performance
  • Conducting in‑depth pre‑season planning and post‑season range analysis to inform future strategy.
  • Using data, market insights, and consumer feedback to continually refine the mainline assortment.
  • Driving cross‑functional alignment on the final range, ensuring clear communication into GTM and Sales teams.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in product management or product creation within footwear, apparel, accessories, or consumer goods.
  • Strong understanding of seasonal product development processes from briefing through to delivery.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to balance consumer insight, brand positioning, and commercial priorities.
  • Confident leadership of cross‑functional teams with strong stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision‑making and improve range performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both creative and commercial partners.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple seasons and priorities simultaneously.
Benefits
  • Salary + discretionary bonus
  • 25 Days Holiday: Increases with length of service and the option to purchase additional days to suit your needs.
  • Discounts: Brand discounts (including friends and family and JD Sports), Sample Sales, and other retail discounts and perks.
  • Family‑Friendly Benefits: Generous enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Health Perks: Choose from a variety of health‑related perks including medical cash plan, critical illness cover, life assurance, gym and fitness discounts, dental insurance, eye care, and health screening.
  • Travel Perks: Take advantage of our season ticket loan, cycle to work schemes, electric car schemes, and discounts on home charging units to support eco‑friendly commuting.
  • Flexible Working: We offer hybrid working and flexible working hours, allowing you to start your day earlier or later to help with commute costs or personal commitments.
  • Chance to join our Charity, D&I and Sustainability employee networks.
