Summary of Role:

As a Product Manager – Lending, you will support the bank's lending product range throughout its lifecycle—from ideation to development, launch, sale, and closure. You should have a solid understanding of the lending market and represent the voice of the customer at all touchpoints in their journey. You will also act as the bank's first line of defense, ensuring all products and processes comply with relevant legislation, regulation, and industry best practices.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Lending Products in shaping the product strategy and roadmap for the lending portfolio.
• Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to enhance their experience.
• Oversee the end-to-end product journey for the bank's lending products.
• Monitor and analyze performance, integrating insights into product optimization strategies.
• Define KPIs, evaluate the impact of features, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure product compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Collaborate with Operations to optimize delivery, processes, systems, and resources.
• Identify, validate, and own business cases; set clear requirements for product changes or launches to drive growth and profitability.
• Participate in governance forums, providing insights and recommendations.
• Work with credit and risk teams to develop policies supporting balanced lending growth.
• Apply risk management principles to assess compliance and operational risks, aiming to pre-empt issues.
• Collaborate with the current account product leader and digital channels team to support the broader customer proposition.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience in a regulated financial services environment.
• Knowledge of UK mortgage lending regulations.
• Familiarity with commercial, SME, and real estate banking sectors is advantageous.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Customer-focused mindset.
