Your NewRole
As a Product Manager in the Technical teamwithin the Transformation & Operations Strategy department, you’ll play acritical role in developing new digital products and improving existing ones. You’llwork across multiple teams and functions, from suppliers and internalstakeholders to operations, ensuring product development aligns with bothcommercial and operational goals. This role requires a strong technicalengineering (LCD & LED) background combined with a commercial mindset todrive the success of new product initiatives, particularly in the outdoor anddigital display spaces.
The position reports directly to the TechnicalDirector - Product, working with stakeholders across executive teams,partnerships, commercial, finance, and legal functions. Additionally, the roleinvolves collaboration with transformation and delivery teams, technicalengineering, and external partners in the supply chain, particularly in theaudio-visual sector. Occasional UK and international travel may be required.
KeyResponsibilities
- Product Development: Lead the creation of new digital products (LCD/LED) for outdoor applications, from concept to final delivery.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with performance standards while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lifecycle & Risk Management: Manage the full lifecycle of product development, addressing performance (MTBF, obsolescence) and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure maintenance and spare parts are effectively utilized.
- Project Leadership: Deliver product development projects within defined programs and timelines by collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Knowledge Library: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge repository of products used in outdoor advertising and monitor competitor activity.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Build strong networks within the LED and LCD display supply chains, particularly in key manufacturing regions like Europe, China, Korea, and Taiwan.
- Technical Specifications: Define and maintain product specifications in partnership with engineering and technology teams.
- Product Design Language: Develop and refine design language for outdoor advertising displays in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Innovation: Identify and assess new technologies impacting outdoor advertising, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Digital Strategy: Contribute to the strategy for integrating LCD and LED technologies, preparing for future developments in the sector.
What You’llNeed
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital product development (LCD/LED) with the ability to assess suppliers’ performance and trends critically.
- Project Management: Ability to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Commercial Mindset: Business acumen for pricing, risk management, and cost-effective solutions.
- Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Product Engineering (or similar) and hands-on experience in product development roles.
- Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate product failures and propose solutions to enhance reliability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Confident communicator skilled at engaging with technical teams and senior leaders.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational and presentation skills with experience monitoring product KPIs (, MTTR, MTBF).
