Overview

This Product Manager position is part of the Worldwide Marketing Department based in Bedford (MA) and is responsible for developing and implementing the global product strategy and marketing programs. The focus will be on Werfen’s Hemostasis Laboratory Automation Solution, collaborating with R&D, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and affiliate commercial teams. We seek someone passionate about continuous improvement, lean methodologies, and workflow optimization within our clients' Hemostasis section, who can significantly contribute to the success of our Hemostasis Laboratory Automation solution.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate marketing support programs related to hemostasis lab automation.
  • Understand laboratory testing, workflows, and best practices to optimize performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Affiliate Marketing and Sales teams to facilitate understanding of technical processes and leverage consulting during sales.
  • Develop key messages, marketing plans, tools, activities, and communicate product positioning.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the market and competitors.
  • Create analytical tools, advertising, promotional materials, and write technical bulletins and newsletters.
  • Support sales, team deployment, engagement, talent development, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Internal Networking/Key Relationships

Coordinate with R&D, Operations, QA/RA, and serve as a Global Consultant for Hemostasis Lab Automation solutions. Liaise with partners to address product issues, gather feedback, and improve processes along the value chain.

Skills & Capabilities

Analytical thinking, initiative, leadership, business acumen, customer focus, organizational agility, planning, presentation skills, and results-driven attitude. Experience in continuous improvement/lean methodologies, process analysis, laboratory operations, data management, automation system integration, and implementation is highly desirable. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills are essential. Knowledge of Excel for large data analysis is required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Life Sciences: Medical Technology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry.
  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, business, marketing, or equivalent.
  • At least three years' experience in sales or marketing within healthcare.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Science, Medical Technology, or related fields; or in business/marketing.
  • Minimum five years' experience in IVD (clinical or sales).
  • Experience with lab or clinical areas.
  • Experience with lean methodology and analytics for process improvement.
