Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a talented Product Manager to shape the future of inventory management, availability and shrink reduction for Amazon Fresh & Grocery Partnerships across EU and APAC. Amazon Fresh is our premium grocery delivery service, offering customers same-day delivery of fresh produce, meat, dairy, and everyday essentials. As part of the Product Strategy and Tools (PST) team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for critical inventory health metrics that directly impact customer experience and business profitability. This includes owning key metrics to ensure products are available for customers while minimizing product waste and loss. You will partner closely with tech, data and business teams, owning the roadmap and delivery for key products and tech across regions.
This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution - you'll need to understand the nuances of grocery operations while being able to translate complex technical solutions into practical business value. You will interact with senior leaders to identify, prioritize, deliver and scale features to achieve our business priorities, while accounting for local nuances from the different countries and businesses in which we operate.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own the product roadmap and delivery for inventory management tools and systems including forecasting, buying, and inventory health optimization
  2. Drive improvements in key metrics for instock, shrink reduction, and availability
  3. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-visibility launches of new inventory management capabilities
  4. Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Business, Operations, and Tech
  5. Partner with teams to develop and enhance key systems, models and tools
  6. Drive adoption of new tools and processes across multiple geographies and business units

About the team
Within the organization, PST (Product Strategy & Tools) unlocks value and enables decision-making operating at the center of the Business, Technology and Operations (BTO) domains for Amazon Fresh & Grocery Partnerships. It leverages the capabilities of a team of 50+ (Product and Program managers, Business Intelligence engineers and Data Scientists) in addition to 40+ associates in India/Romania/Shanghai as part of our offshoring program. PST exists to work on and solve the biggest challenges that are consistent across all countries, drive initiatives that are most efficiently executed/coordinated by a single threaded owner, and minimize the churn that comes from non-standardized ways of working. In doing this, we enhance business performance by improving top and bottom line, releasing capacity through increased productivity and improving customer satisfaction.
