Job description

Deputy is a global SaaS workforce management company headquartered in Sydney, San Francisco, and London. Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status.

At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These dedicated employees keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. Despite their vital societal role, most workplace technology has focused on desk-bound workers. At Deputy, we transform the frontline. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – becoming more profitable, compliant, and productive, while workers are more engaged and happier.

If you are passionate about creating people-first solutions and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most!

Deputy’s mission is to simplify shift work, and we’re elevating it with Gen AI. We seek a Product Manager to lead the development of an agentic automation engine that delegates key business tasks to AI-powered agents—freeing managers to focus on strategic priorities. This role is ideal for a hands-on product manager experienced at the intersection of AI, automation, and workforce management.

Responsibilities
  1. Execute the roadmap for Gen AI agents that automate complex workforce management tasks—iterating rapidly and delivering impactful solutions.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to build scalable, intelligent automation systems.
  3. Research and partner with customers to understand pain points and design AI-driven workflows that add real value.
  4. Prioritize features that deliver business impact while managing technical constraints.
  5. Work cross-functionally to seamlessly integrate AI agents within Deputy’s platform.
  6. Measure success with clear KPIs, and continuously refine solutions based on user feedback and adoption.
Skills & Experience
  1. At least 3 years in product management, with a strong background in AI, automation, or enterprise SaaS.
  2. Experience building and launching 0 to 1 AI/ML-powered products, preferably in a B2B setting.
  3. Deep understanding of LLMs, agentic workflows, and automation frameworks (technical exposure is a plus).
  4. Strong problem-solving and product-thinking skills, capable of transforming ambiguity into action.
  5. Customer empathy and a passion for improving the lives of shift-based and hourly workers.
  6. Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to define success metrics and act swiftly.
  7. Excellent communication skills for influencing stakeholders and driving alignment.
  8. Ownership in the company via Share Options.
  9. Additional benefits include Paternity/Maternity Leave Policies, Flexible Remote-First Work Policy, Company Development & Coaching, Hackathons, Recognition Awards, Social Events & Clubs, Mental Health Support, and Learning Opportunities.

Deputy values diversity and inclusion, believing they foster innovation. Our global team comprises members from various cultures, welcoming different perspectives and skills.
