Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Product Manager to join our team, with a specific focus on running BAU within Real Estate Lending supporting the development of both our Broker Portal and Origination Platforms.

In this role, you will be initially responsible for managing the maintenance of our origination platforms and supporting a decomissioning plan for legacy infrastructure in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for your product workstream, ensuring it resonates with our customers and colleagues.

• Product Ownership: Lead the day to day support for our origination platform, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, compliance, proposition and delivery teams (among others) to ensure smooth execution.

• Product Expertise: Become the resident expert on processes within Real Estate. You’ll then document, share and educate the rest of the business on progress, new developments and impacts to Shawbrook and its customers and colleagues.

• Customer Insight and Empathy:Dive deep into understanding our customers' needs, behaviours, and pain points. Use these insights to drive product decisions and create truly user-centric solutions.

• Collaborative Roadmap Planning:Collaborate with engineering, finance, risk, compliance and operations teams to create a detailed product roadmap. We have an immediate problem statement for which we need to solve, but after that you’ll be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment where everyone’s ideas are heard and valued, and translating that into a roadmap.

• Exceptional User Experience:Advocate for the user at every step of the process, ensuring the payments platform and processes are intuitive, engaging, and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers and colleagues.

• Performance and Impact Measurement:Develop and build our vision and objectives and results. Lead in making sure your squad is aligned to driving those outcomes.

• Transparent Communication:Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders. Regularly update the team and leadership on progress, decisions, and changes to the roadmap.
