Perlego, the S for textbooks, is hiring a hands-on Product Manager to own end-to-end product delivery for D2C subscriptions. You will drive conversion-focused experiments, prioritise a backlog, and partner with engineers to ship features that impact signup and revenue.
You will report to a cross-functional squad, work in a hybrid model with two days in the London office, and influence the roadmap with quantitative insights and customer-centric thinking.
Perlego is on a mission to make education accessible to everyone. Dubbed "The Spotify for Textbooks," we give learners worldwide unlimited access to over 1.5 million ebooks and educational resources from 9,000+ leading publishers, and we partner with hundreds of universities, businesses, and training providers to put a library in every learner's pocket.
The squad's KPIs and the case for how to move them The conversion rate optimisation programme across our D2C funnels. You decide where to test, keep a prioritised backlog of experiments, run them to a sound standard, and make sure every result leads to a decision Generating and analysing insight, identifying the hypotheses worth validating, holding technical needs, user needs and business impact together The success of bets in the New User Experience squad, with accountability for the outcome Feeding the squad's prioritised view and rationale into the domain roadmap Leading scope definition and slicing solutions to release value on a short cadence, independently
A strong, hands‑on Product Manager with 4+ years owning product end to end, from discovery through experimentation to shipping. You have owned a KPI, not just a delivery plan, and you can say how much you moved it A track record of improving conversion on high‑volume growth funnels for D2C subscription products. You can point to specific experiments that moved signup or subscription rates and explain why they worked A confident experimenter. You move from hypothesis to evidence quickly. You know how to size a test, choose guardrail metrics, spot a result that is noise, and recognise when a change should ship without a test at all Genuinely quantitative. There is no dedicated analyst attached to the squad, so you are comfortable in the data yourself. You can interrogate cohort data and know your funnel metrics well enough to explain and defend your decisions Although you will not own monetisation, you will work closely with a monetisation PM. You need to be commercially minded. You understand how pricing, plan structure and the way plans are presented at checkout affect both conversion and revenue per subscriber Comfortable building with AI. You can work with engineers on AI workflows that do things that aren't feasible by hand, such as generating landing pages at scale, and you can judge the quality and risks of what they produce A peer to other PMs and to leadership, driving outcomes through cross‑functional teams you do not manage
