Job description

Product Manager - Experimentation Platform

London

400M+ downloads. 75M+ monthly users. A decade of building – and we’re still accelerating.

Flo is the world’s #1 health app on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.

With 6M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.

The job

The needs of the user is everything to us, and how those needs are served falls under our Product teams.

They’re fact-finders.

They’re builders.

They’re ideators of easy to use, information rich resources across our whole platform who - along with Analytics teams - get to the ‘why’ in order to create unrivaled user experiences.

We're seeking a highly strategic and technically proficient Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for our company-wide experimentation capabilities. This pivotal role involves owning the product lifecycle for our internal experimentation platform and defining the overarching strategy, methodology, and governance for how we conduct A/B testing and experimentation across the organisation.

Your mission would be to empower product, engineering, analytics and marketing teams to make faster, more confident, data-driven decisions through rigorous, scalable experimentation. You'll be instrumental (alongside an Experimentation Analyst) in developing the technological foundation (the platform) and the organisational capability (the culture and process) to accelerate learning, de-risk product development, and drive significant business impact and user experience improvements.

Your Experience

Must have:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with demonstrable success managing technical products, data platforms, analytics tools, or developer-focused platforms.
  • Deep, practical understanding of A/B testing principles, experimental design, statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, statistical significance, power, confidence intervals), and common pitfalls.
  • Strong technical fluency; ability to grasp platform architecture, and effectively collaborate with engineers on technical solutions and trade-offs.
  • Exceptional communication (written, verbal, presentation) and stakeholder management skills; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences and influence without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and drive product strategy, develop and manage roadmaps, and deliver impactful solutions in an agile environment.
  • Experience working closely and effectively with engineering, product and analytics teams.
  • Passion for fostering data-driven decision-making and building a culture of experimentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with advanced experimentation methodologies (e.g., Bayesian methods, multi-armed bandits, causal inference).
  • Experience specifically building or managing platforms for internal developers/users.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling experimentation programs and culture within an organisation.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in experimentation or personalisation.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Define and champion the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the internal Experimentation Platform.
  • Translate platform strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and specifications for the engineering team.
  • Own and prioritise the platform backlog, balancing feature development, infrastructure improvements, technical debt, and bug fixes.
  • Act as the voice of the internal customer (product teams, engineers, analysts), continuously gathering feedback and monitoring usage to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Ensure the platform supports required testing methodologies, integrates seamlessly with data infrastructure, and provides necessary APIs and tooling.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive platform documentation and training materials to drive adoption and effective usage.

Experimentation Strategy & Methodology:

  • Develop, articulate, and drive the company's overall experimentation strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Establish and govern experimentation best practices, methodologies and statistical standards (significance, power).
  • Lead efforts to foster a robust "test and learn" culture across the organisation through education, advocacy, and enablement.
  • Collaborate with internal analytics teams to develop and uphold best practices and new methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, velocity, and quality of experimentation processes throughout the company.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Manage stakeholder expectations, navigate competing priorities, and drive alignment around the experimentation platform and program.
  • Communicate effectively about platform updates, strategic initiatives, key results, and the overall value of the experimentation program.
