About the Client

LiuGong is rapidly expanding its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) portfolio to meet increasing market demand for zero-emission, low TCO machinery and is building a management team to lead this transformation throughout Europe.

The Opportunity

Elite has been retained exclusively to identify an experienced and dynamic BEV Program Manager to spearhead LiuGong’s electric construction equipment rollout across the European market.

Reporting directly to the European Product Director, this role will be instrumental in delivering full-lifecycle, commercially viable BEV solutions for key customers, rental fleets, and public sector operators. This is a highly cross-functional position requiring collaboration across sales, engineering, product, and marketing teams in Europe, the UK, and China.

Key Responsibilities
Integrated BEV Solutions & Strategic Partnerships
  • Define and deliver complete BEV product packages tailored to rental, fleet, and public sector use cases.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and technical teams to integrate telematics, financing, and service bundles.
Product Lifecycle Management
  • Lead the lifecycle of BEV products from pilot validation to market scaling and end-of-life.
  • Define specifications, pricing, product launch plans, demonstration programs, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct field research to build robust application and customer use-case libraries.
  • Match machines to customer application needs based on power, duty cycle, and performance demands.
  • Develop productivity modeling and battery longevity forecasts by application type.
TCO & Tender Enablement
  • Maintain and train teams on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculators and ROI models.
  • Support tender responses with detailed technical and financial data specific to BEV operations.
  • Position TCO advantage as a core component of LiuGong’s value proposition.
  • Develop training content and tools for BEV customers, dealers, and rental partners.
  • Lead safety, operational, and compliance training for local teams and technical stakeholders.
Brand & Market Positioning
  • Build market messaging around sustainability, uptime, simplicity, and environmental compliance.
  • Work with marketing to develop brochures, case studies, and digital campaigns.
  • Represent LiuGong at trade shows, exhibitions, and media events to promote BEV technology leadership.
ESG & Thought Leadership
  • Align LiuGong’s BEV offerings with broader EU Green Deal goals and zero-emission mandates.
  • Contribute to white papers, industry panels, and external thought leadership initiatives.
  • Build strategic relationships with advisors, regulators, and industry influencers.
Experience:
  • Applications are sought from Senior Engineers or Managers who can demonstrate significant experience with electric vehicle product development and commercial realization into market.
  • Previous experience in strategic product development, product marketing or product management roles gained working for a vehicle OEM or EV consultancy.
  • Extensive knowledge of electric vehicle systems and architecture (BEV, AEV, HEV, PHEV, FCEV) as used in off-highway construction equipment, commercial vehicles or passenger vehicles.
  • Experience of gaining market insights from key account customers, dealers and fleet users to define commercial strategy, product plan and product marketing plan.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Confident communicator without standing stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English writing & verbal language skills essential; additional European languages a plus.
  • Working from home but able to travel across Europe, UK and China for business meetings, you could be based in UK, Germany, Poland, France, Benelux or Scandinavian countries.
