Who will you be working with?

At the intersection of Sales & Marketing, technology and customer experience, you will interact with the Original Equipment as well as the regional Go to Market teams.

How will you make a difference?

As a Product Manager for Train Couplers you are responsible to set the Product Services’ vision and the aftermarket strategy.

What will your typical day look like?

  1. Be responsible for maximizing Couplers product line aftermarket business value supporting targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin, enhancing market share of service business for couplers.
  2. Lead the Services vision of the Product with the O.E Teams for a full end to end approach, defining couplers aftermarket strategy and roadmap, portfolio of products and service solutions as well as associated Value propositions.
  3. Organize the collection of customers’ needs and pain points to position your product value add, as well as capture market intelligence and competitors’ analysis.
  4. Lead the regions strategic plans/budget reviews, identifying market trends and assessing opportunities for Couplers innovations.
  5. Develop business cases and product/services plans for the selection, definition, development, validation, scheduling and introduction to the market of an innovation.
  6. Participate to tenders and projects to reinforce use of standard products/services.
  7. Collect Couplers REX in project phase to improve future product/services solutions.
  8. Steer the continuous competitiveness improvement of Product/Services, including Pricing and Life Cycle Costing, Reliability and Maintenance approach, engineering, manufacturing & distribution.
  9. Establish thought leadership and launch Pro-active lobbying and Marketing activities together with regional/country Product line teams.
  10. Share the vision, strategy and roadmap with the stakeholders (O.E., Regions and team members, Transit Leadership Team) and prepare marketing tools.
  11. Establish strong working relationship with regions/countries KAM and sales, Engineering, technical product manager to support the strategy, best practices sharing and scaling up business models, innovations and best practices across regions. Support and train regions teams in couplers business knowledge, value propositions, innovation introductions.

What do we want to know about you?

  1. Graduated in Engineering or Business school.
  2. +10 years of experience in product management, sales, business development and/or P&L responsibility, ideally in rail market (couplers expertise) and/or OEM suppliers.
  3. Held responsibilities with complex multipurpose technical systems (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, digital).
  4. Familiar with international companies work culture, preferably in a similar sector, ideally in a matrix organization.
  5. Sales and technical oriented, strong business /financial acumen fueled by strong analytical skills and appetite for both internal and outbound interactions.
  6. Strong communication skills.
  7. Strong leader, you are also very autonomous in your daily work, able to manage both short term actions and set long-term vision.
  8. Fluent English level (second language appreciated).
  9. Travelling required couple of time per month.
