Job summary

James Fisher Defence (JFD) is seeking a Product Manager to own the product portfolio from concept to retirement. You will translate customer insights into compelling value propositions and work with engineering, marketing, and sales to launch and optimise products globally.

You will lead roadmaps, prioritise initiatives, and make build vs buy decisions to maximise commercial success while ensuring products stay competitive in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial diving operations or related fields.
• Strong requirements management and translating technical capabilities into product propositions.
• Excellent stakeholder management across teams and senior leaders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Shape and manage the product portfolio across its full lifecycle, keeping products competitive.
• Define and drive the roadmap using customer insight, trends, and performance data.
• Collaborate with engineering, digital, operations, marketing and sales to launch and optimise.
• Turn customer needs and market opportunities into clear product strategies and value propositions.
• Lead development and launch of new products from concept to post-launch.
• Decide on build vs buy, pricing, and prioritisation to maximise commercial success.
• Advocate for the product, engaging customers and internal teams to gather insights and drive adoption.
