Job summary

James Fisher Defence (JFD) is seeking a Head of Special Forces Vehicles to lead the global product line, drive growth and ensure mission success for customers.

You will shape strategy, manage roadmaps, budgets and performance, and lead a multi-disciplinary team across home markets and international operations.

The role requires strategic leadership, P&L accountability and close collaboration with Country General Managers to align with James Fisher’s objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within an international business with P&L accountability.
• Deep knowledge of the Defence naval market.
• Product management experience or understanding is advantageous.
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic business awareness.
• Track record of delivering long-term commercial value.
• Experience developing and delivering business strategies, budgets and people plans.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
• Proven leader capable of building engaged, resilient teams.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Special Forces Vehicles product line and oversee P&L outcomes.
• Set revenue objectives and marketing priorities with Sales and Marketing.
• Provide strategic leadership and roadmap guidance for home markets.
• Shape and implement the Special Forces Vehicles strategy as Defence Management Team member.
• Develop and maintain the portfolio roadmap aligning with company goals.
• Ensure contractual performance obligations are met or exceeded.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Champion health, safety, environment, sustainability and security.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements with Legal & Compliance and HSEQS.
• Lead, inspire and develop the Special Forces Vehicles team.
• Act as a delegate for the Defence Director when absent.
