Job description

Established in 2009, ClickHouse leads the industry with its open-source column-oriented database system, driven by the vision of becoming the fastest OLAP database globally. The company empowers users to generate real-time analytical reports through SQL queries, emphasizing speed in managing escalating data volumes. Enterprises globally, including Lyft, Sony, IBM, GitLab, Twilio, HubSpot, and many more, rely on ClickHouse Cloud. It is available through open-source or on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.

NOTE: this position can be remote anywhere within the United Kingdom.

ClickHouse is looking to hire a Product Manager to join our ClickPipes team, focusing on integrations with streaming sources like Kafka, Confluent, Redpanda, object storage systems like S3 and GCS, and other new sources. In this role, you'll focus on identifying key data sources, understanding developer needs, and driving integration efforts across streaming, object storage, and other emerging data sources. You’ll bring empathy and a strong understanding of the developer persona, with the ability to translate requirements into clear integration priorities and projects.

What you will do:

Product Direction and Vision:

  • Drive the long-term vision for ClickPipes (1–2 years)
  • Lead the iterative evolution of ClickPipes — for example, identifying the next high-priority connector based on customer and field research and so on.
  • Conduct product planning exercises every few months to provide clear direction to engineering
  • Set iterative business goals and align all stakeholders to pursue them with ownership and urgency

Customer Onboarding and Supporting the ClickHouse field:

  • Work closely with strategic enterprise customers to ensure their success
  • Establish a continuous feedback loop so customer insights inform the product
  • Conduct periodic enablement of the field teams such as Sales, Solutions Architects, and Support on ClickPipes features

Engage with ClickHouse User Community:

  • Drive product, deep-technical, and thought leadership blogs about ClickPipes across various communities
  • Represent ClickHouse to speak at and attend conferences, developer-oriented industry events, webinars, and other customer-facing activities
  • Maintain a presence on social media (LinkedIn, X, Hacker News, Reddit) to keep the momentum and excitement high around ClickHouse’s integration efforts across different communities

What you bring along:

  • Knowledgeable about data engineering markets - data warehousing, data analytics, data science, business intelligence, and observability
  • Previous experience with ClickHouse or related OLAP technologies, including confirmed SQL skills
  • Passionate about improving the ecosystem of developer-related integrations (language clients, SDKs, connectors) into features that are powerful and easy to use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving based on business needs
  • The seniority will be determined based on the interview process and discussions with the team

Bonus Points for:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments
  • Experience effectively working remotely in a global, distributed organization
  • Previous contributions to open source projects

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
