Overview

In Schneider Electric we create connected technologies that reshape industries, transform cities, and enrich lives. Help us deliver solutions that ensure Life Is On everywhere, for everyone and at every moment. The Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides intelligent building management solutions to help customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption, and run building operations more efficiently.

Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of EcoStruxure Building Data Platform. Shape the future and own the end-to-end success of an independent data layer that normalizes, secures, and monetizes building data across the building management software ecosystem. You will establish the product’s vision, guide its technical evolution with engineering, craft the commercial model, and support an open partner network, all while driving alignment with adjacent product teams. Partner with R&D to design and deliver innovative, high-impact solutions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional value. Drive strategic go-to-market initiatives, foster adoption through compelling content, and continuously refine the product based on performance insights. Champion innovation, leverage emerging technologies, and engage within the master systems integrator community to establish thought leadership and redefine the standards of interoperability and integrations.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Craft a 3-year product vision and business strategy, with rolling 12-month OKRs to drive growth of Data Platform.
  • Produce business-case financials (P&L, ROI, NPV) to secure funding and steer portfolio decisions annually.
  • Define success metrics: data-layer attach rate, ARR growth, customer NPS, partner API calls, etc.
  • Quantify TAM/SAM/SOM, competitive positioning, and cross-business synergies; refresh bi-annually.
Product Development & Lifecycle Execution
  • Maintain an outcome-oriented roadmap using SAFe/Agile; prioritized by quantified customer value and effort.
  • Write crisp PRDs/epics that specify data models, APIs, ingestion pipelines, governance, and privacy controls.
  • Partner regularly with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable services per industry-leading SLA.
  • Council with fellow product managers to harmonize data models, SDKs, auth patterns, and UX flows.
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle — launch, updates, versioning, SLAs, and deprecation plans for APIs and SDKs.
Go-To-Market & Commercialization
  • Develop segmentation, positioning, and messaging for Building Owners, System Integrators, and Application Developers.
  • Own pricing & packaging approaches (consumption tiers, capex/opex, marketplace revenue share, OEM licensing).
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to develop playbooks to drive adoption, expansion motions, and mitigate churn.
  • Drive marketing campaigns with high-value assets, webinars, whitepapers, reference architectures, and case studies.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and training to develop outbound materials to support high-impact product launches.
Scaled Operating Model
  • Develop a scalable end-to-end operating model, including onboarding, operations, support, and lifecycle management.
  • Establish frameworks to monitor SLAs for platform performance, support, and data privacy, ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with Center of Excellence and Connected Service Hub to streamline onboarding and operations at scale.
  • Implement robust data governance, change management, and continuous improvement to meet SLA needs.
Governance, Operations & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Stand up agile rituals, release governance, and security/privacy review gates; enforce “shift-left” compliance.
  • Act as the single-threaded owner communicating status, risks, and mitigation plans to C-level stakeholders.
  • Guide PMs across leagues to foster a “platform mindset” to leverage Building Data Platform as a data and integration platform.
  • Collaborate with CTO team to refine technology choices and represent at standards bodies (Brick, Haystack, etc.).
Education & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on software solutions managing data platforms.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in building management or industrial automation.
  • Experience with digital-enabled cloud service models, software, IoT products – SaaS, PaaS, and DaaS.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling platform products, especially data layers or integration platforms.
  • Strong technical acumen and experience working closely with engineering teams on complex, scalable systems.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can identify and seize new opportunities.
  • Expert in user research methodologies and tools, and in building user community and engagement strategies.
  • Proven ability to work within large organizations, collaborating across teams and functions to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
