Our product management team are passionate technologists focused on delivering impactful products and solutions that shape market demands and promote open source software. This role is for a product management position on Anbox Cloud. Apply if you excel in leadership, communication, technical vision, and can drive product strategy aligned with future business needs.

We believe open source is transforming enterprise solutions and will continue to expand into vertical markets. Our goal is to make open source easier, reliable, and secure for deployment and development, aiming to provide the 'most software to most companies' starting with Ubuntu and expanding across all applications and compute classes. We select product managers for their intellect and drive to advance the open source community, focusing on improving quality, outreach, and impact. Our product managers set vision and strategy, oversee product lifecycle from conception to delivery, and blend technical expertise with strategic, analytical, project management, and communication skills to meet user needs and business objectives.

Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region.

The role entails:

  • Leading the roadmap of Anbox Cloud features and driving Android virtualization and containerization strategy.
  • Shaping development roadmap with engineering teams.
  • Defining future business models considering the competitive landscape.
  • Engaging with the cloud gaming ecosystem and key customers to enable success and go-to-market strategies.

This position involves product leadership and go-to-market strategy, translating vision into plans and market launches. Our product managers are technical professionals aiming to become business leaders, involved in strategy, planning, engagement, and promoting open source principles. They manage the entire product lifecycle, requiring technical, strategic, analytical, and communication skills to align products with market and user needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the product development lifecycle, setting priorities and goals.
  • Collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and gathering customer feedback.
  • Communicating product vision, updates, and decisions.
  • Conducting usability tests and iterating to improve user experience.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies, creating documentation, and training.
  • Supporting sales efforts and participating in customer meetings.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong academic results at high school and university levels.
  • Understanding of Linux and open source communities.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, data centers, cloud, or devices.
  • Passion for technology and tech writing.
  • Work ethic and personal interest in open source.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning habits.
  • Ownership mindset.
  • Problem-solving and innovation skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for up to two weeks.

Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with vertical markets, technology ecosystems, cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, Docker, Snaps), embedded systems, networking, Linux virtualization, cloud gaming tech, and Android components.
