About the Job

Are you passionate about scientific instrumentation and product development? Our client, a leading innovator in Analytical technology, is seeking a Product Manager to oversee their benchtop analytical instruments. This role is ideal for someone looking to transition from a sales role in to a Product position, or someone with a strong technical background in physical sciences, looking to transition into a strategic and commercially focused role. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, international representatives, and customers, while also engaging in global travel to represent the company at conferences and trade shows.

The Company

The organisation is a well-established organisation specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality automated, analytical instruments. Their instruments are widely used in academic research and specialist industries worldwide. With a strong reputation for innovation and excellence in scientific instrumentation, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of their technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Management & Development: Oversee all aspects of the automated benchtop product line, working with engineering, production, and support teams to enhance and expand the product range.
  • Project Management: Lead new product development initiatives, ensuring successful execution and integration within the existing portfolio.
  • Technical Sales & Customer Engagement: Support international representatives and engage with customers ranging from technicians to senior academics.
  • Training & Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and deliver training sessions both internally and externally.
  • Scientific Representation & Travel: Represent the company at global conferences, trade shows, and seminars, delivering technical presentations in person and online.
  • Creating and Presenting Content: Utilize scientific data to create customer-facing sales and marketing materials that effectively communicate the product’s value.

What We're Looking For

Our customer is open to considering candidates from a range of backgrounds. This could be a Product Manager from an instrumentation manufacturer who is looking for a fresh challenge, working with niche, in-demand technology. Alternatively, they are also open to someone currently in a sales position or application science role, looking to move in to a Product Manager role.

Location

Based in Cheshire, with international travel as required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Generous annual holiday allowance.
  • Contributory personal pension scheme.
