Job description

Responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Drive innovative product development for the AJ Bell D2C website and apps in response to customer feedback, competitor initiatives, and ideas to differentiate AJ Bell from other retail investment providers.
  • Translate business requirements and define product requirements for each change project. Work with technical teams to agree on designs, support development, and be involved in UAT testing, release phases, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Ensure new products and significant changes to existing web and app are tested with customers through beta testing, incorporating feedback to improve the product before full launch.
  • Manage the sprint planning process with digital strategy and mobile development teams, balancing key priorities and short-term improvements.
  • Own the product backlog, writing detailed user stories and requirements.
  • Create content with the marketing team to support new product launches, including landing pages and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with impacted teams, including customer-facing and marketing teams, to ensure smooth change implementation and support customer experience improvements.
  • Provide training documents for customer-facing teams and assist the product manager with training.
  • Become a product expert and help the marketing team develop appropriate content.
  • Ensure compliance of changes with input from the Compliance and Technical teams.
  • Manage junior staff, delegate work, and ensure standards are met.
  • Perform other duties as agreed with the Senior Product Development Manager.
