Job summary

Mastek is seeking a Product Manager in Leeds to help deliver value through data-informed product decisions. You will work with stakeholders, tech teams, and delivery partners to shape features and improve customer outcomes in a regulated financial services context.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Product Manager to join our growing team in Leeds.

This role supports the delivery of critical business and digital change within a regulated financial services environment. Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, technology teams, and delivery partners, you will help improve services, processes, and customer outcomes while supporting wider organisational objectives.

As a Product Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of value by working on features, components, or parts of a product. You will use data, user research, stakeholder engagement, and customer feedback to inform decisions, enhance user experiences, and support iterative product development.

You will also be expected to deliver high-quality outputs at pace, quickly build domain knowledge, and ensure insights and requirements translate into effective product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate business analysis and requirements management techniques based on context and complexity.
• Analyse user behaviour, customer feedback, and performance data to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to define and deliver product features.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
• Support backlog refinement activities through evidence-based prioritisation and well-defined requirements.
• Use tools such as JIRA to manage requirements, stories, and delivery progress.
• Ensure product solutions align with user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Translate research findings and analysis into actionable recommendations that support incremental product improvements.
• Assist with user research activities including interviews, surveys, workshops, and usability testing.
• Monitor product performance metrics and identify areas for optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Communicate findings, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote a user-centred approach throughout the product lifecycle while ensuring compliance with accessibility and data privacy standards.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Constructively challenge assumptions and contribute to innovative solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.
• Experience in Product Analysis, Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or Change Delivery within business and technology environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex challenges.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and user requirements.
• Ability to quickly develop domain knowledge and engage credibly with stakeholders.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments, with exposure to hybrid or Waterfall approaches.
• Comfortable operating in complex delivery settings involving both business and technology change.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar product management platforms.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams including Product, Design, Engineering, and Business functions.
• Experience using data and customer insights to support product decision-making.
• Experience working within financial services, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to business change, testing, service design, or business design activities.
• Knowledge of GDS-style product delivery approaches and user-centred design principles.
• Experience supporting digital transformation or customer experience improvement programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Understanding of user research techniques and evidence-based product decision-making.
• Demonstrates curiosity, empathy, and a user-first mindset aligned with agile ways of working.
• Ability to coach and mentor teams.
• Relevant Business Analysis, Agile, Product Management, or Scrum certifications are advantageous.
