This role offers the chance to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to bring innovative solutions to market and strengthen competitive positioning.

The Role

You will play a key role in identifying market opportunities, understanding customer needs and translating commercial insights into successful product strategies. From concept through to launch and beyond, you will oversee the product lifecycle, ensuring products meet customer requirements while delivering revenue growth and margin improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, from initial concept through to end of life.
  • Conducting market research, customer interviews and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Developing product roadmaps that support revenue generation, market share and profitability.
  • Leading new product development and introduction projects, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Developing pricing strategies to optimise margins and maximise commercial performance.
  • Working closely with Engineering to translate customer requirements into product specifications.
  • Partnering with Sales and Marketing to develop compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identifying product enhancement, value engineering and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Monitoring product KPIs and reporting performance to senior management.
  • Supporting key customer meetings and industry events.
About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and strategic individual who can combine technical understanding with strong product management expertise.

Ideally, you will bring
  • A degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in product management, particularly across product lifecycle management, new product development and margin management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess market opportunities, pricing and profitability.
  • Experience working with physical products where technical specifications, applications or engineering drawings are important.
  • The ability to interpret customer needs and translate them into commercially viable product solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement and delivering measurable results.
  • Confidence presenting ideas and communicating product value propositions to internal and external stakeholders.
The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, growing organisation operating within the industrial safety and protection sector, where product innovation and quality are central to its success.

You will have the opportunity to influence product strategy, collaborate with experienced professionals and make a tangible contribution to business growth. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, alongside an annual incentive scheme and opportunities for professional development.
