Job Description: Project/Product Manager & Business Analyst (Technical)

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile Project/Product Manager & Business Analyst with strong technical acumen to drive structure, efficiency, and growth across our three business pillars:

  • Payroll Services (Umbrella, CIS, Outsourced Payroll)
  • Government Contracts (Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, MSP)
  • In-House SAAS Software (Launching 2 new products)

The ideal candidate will blend project management, business analysis, and technical expertise to streamline operations, support cross-departmental deadlines, and lead the marketing and launch of our SAAS products. You will collaborate with marketing, sales, support, and development teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Product Management

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery across all business pillars, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead the launch of 2 new SAAS products, coordinating marketing, sales, support, and development teams.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
  • Optimize workflows and implement best practices for scalability.

Business Analysis

  • Analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for the SAAS products.
  • Develop documentation (e.g., user stories, process maps, training materials).
  • Conduct market research to refine product positioning and features.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers to bridge gaps between business needs and technical execution.
  • Understand data structures (CSV, JSON, XML), APIs, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Use tools like Atlassian stack with MS one, Confluence and SQL for tracking and analysis.

Cross-Departmental Support

  • Align payroll, government contracts, and SAAS teams to meet deadlines.
  • Train and enable teams on new processes/tools.
  • Support sales and marketing with technical insights for campaigns and client pitches.

Additional Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the UX design process, ensuring user-centred principles are embedded across all digital products and services.

Provide oversight and guidance on UX design activities, balancing business requirements with user needs.

Contribute to or oversee testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet functional, usability, and accessibility standards.

Support the management of testing/QA processes as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including feedback loops and issue resolution.
