The Adviser business at Aberdeen provides support, expertise, and technology for financial advisers in the UK, enabling them to create value for their businesses and clients. This team is committed to a product operating model that empowers teams to be autonomous and accountable, fostering innovation from concept to delivery. We lead the design, discovery, and delivery of cutting-edge digital products and services for Financial Advice firms.

About The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our forward-thinking team at the heart of Aberdeen's Adviser business. The successful candidate will define and execute the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. This role involves working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver innovative and impactful digital products for Financial Advice firms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define and drive the product vision and strategy, balancing innovation with usability, accessibility, and business objectives.
  • Product Discovery and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, user testing, and business analysis to identify customer needs and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product development process from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with user needs and high-quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead product management within a multidisciplinary team, fostering continuous growth and career advancement.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with CPTO leadership and teams to integrate product management into the product lifecycle, ensuring technical feasibility and user expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for product discussions with stakeholders, clearly communicating insights and progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and learning within the team to stay competitive and adaptive to user and market needs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proven Leadership: Experience leading product management teams in product-driven environments, fostering talent and building high-performing teams.
  • Strategic Thinker: Skilled in defining and executing strategy, balancing creative vision and analytical insights with business objectives.
  • Product Management Expertise: Expert in leading end-to-end product management processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • User-Centered Advocate: Passionate about integrating user research and feedback into the product development process.
  • Collaborative Partner: Experience working in Product Operating Models, partnering closely with design, engineering, and data teams to embed product management into the product lifecycle.
