ICS.AI is hiring a Product Manager to own and harmonise the roadmap and backlogs across the SMART AI products. You’ll translate priorities into clear work, coordinating Product, Delivery and Engineering from refinement through to release.

This remote UK role involves occasional travel to Basingstoke and client sites. You’ll drive backlog health, planning sessions and reporting to keep delivery moving efficiently in a fast-paced AI environment.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining a product backlog or roadmap in a delivery role within technology, AI or software.
Structured and organised approach to competing requests across several products or teams.
Ability to facilitate planning and refinement sessions with product, client-facing, delivery and engineering colleagues.

Responsibilities

Maintain the combined roadmap across SMART AI products and keep backlogs ordered against priorities.
Facilitate cross-product backlog refinement and sprint planning with Product Specialists.
Prepare prioritisation recommendations and carry agreed decisions into scheduled work.
Check that work items are complete, estimated and ready before a sprint.
Coordinate between Product, Delivery and Engineering, tracking progress and alignment.
Maintain and sequence engineering work queues with visibility of capacity and dependencies.
Maintain the shared platform backlog and track dependencies between platform and products.
Coordinate client UAT and track work through to release.
Produce clear roadmap, progress, queue-status and backlog-health reporting.

ICS.AI is a UK AI consultancy delivering AI transformation to the public sector, local government, higher education and the wider public estate. Our SMART AI products help organisations improve resident and staff experiences through conversational AI, copilots, automation and intelligent insights.

We are hiring a Product Manager to sit at the operational centre of our product function. You will maintain the combined roadmap and backlogs across the SMART AI product range, turn agreed priorities into well-organised and scheduled work, and keep Product, Delivery and Engineering aligned from refinement through to release.

This is a hands-on coordination and delivery role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to competing priorities. You will not need to own every product decision yourself; you will make sure agreed decisions are translated into clear, buildable work and carried through consistently across products and teams.

What you’ll be doing

Maintaining the combined roadmap across SMART AI products and keeping product backlogs ordered against agreed priorities.
Facilitating cross-product backlog refinement and sprint planning with Product Specialists.

The role combines product operations, delivery coordination and practical judgement about GenAI and agentic AI. What we’re looking for

We are not screening on a specific degree or qualification. We care about evidence that you can bring structure, judgement and momentum to product delivery:

Experience maintaining a product backlog or roadmap in a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar delivery role within technology, AI or software.
A structured and organised approach to competing requests across several products or teams.
Confidence working with product, client-facing, delivery and engineering colleagues, including facilitating planning and refinement sessions.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing work items, acceptance criteria, estimates and dependencies.
A practical understanding of how software is designed, built and released.
Working knowledge of GenAI, large language models and agentic AI, sufficient to discuss feasibility and sequencing.
Clear written communication and disciplined decision recording.
